This rare Shepherd is 1 of only 15 ever built. There are only 5 that we know of to still exist. The hull sides have been re-planked with cold molded Honduras Mahogany. The floor is a varnished Mahogany. Ready to be repowered with twin power plants of your choosing. There are tons of possibilities with this boat, the interior could be left original or reconfigured with a custom interior to fit your taste. Having been built with high sides and a deep ‘V’ to withstand the rough waters of Lake Ontario, it will handle the gnarliest lake chop like a pro. The beam is 9’10”, draft 3’, freeboard (fore & aft) 49” & 38”, molded depth 67 ¼, sleeping capacity 2-4, original seating capacity 12. Can be viewed in our Lake Geneva showroom!

'Just Relaxing' 1958 30' Shepherd Commuter

We are honored to be able to bring you this beautiful 1958 Shepherd 30ft Commuter! As you can tell from the video, below, this boat has been cherished and well loved by its current owner. They are the only the 2nd owner and have had this Shepherd boat for over 50 years! It has been repowered with twin 4.3l Crusader engines. The seating has been updated and the entire boat underwent a restoration in 2012. Just like the video says, Shepherd Boats are great boats for big lakes. The hull cuts through the waves and the tall gunwale are fantastic at keeping everyone dry. While the video says that this is the only remaining 30ft Shepherd Commuter, that is not accurate, though was believed to be at the time the video was made. Through our research we can say that there are at least 5 of these boats remaining.

This amazing craft was painstakingly restored by Bergersen Boat Co. This hull is #13 in the first series of 27' Shepherds built with a beam of 9' 6". This boat boasts the rare 331Chrysler Hemis first offered in 1953. The engines were just overhauled including the Chrysler V-drive transmissions that have all reconditioned clutch packs and seals. Top speed is 42 mph. This boat comes complete with kerosene stove top, head, original stainless cooler and sink. The bottom is original and the hull sides have been refastened with silicon bronze screws. All bungs were made from original old stock Honduras Mahogany from a 'donor Shepherd'. This craft has the original throttle and shift control levers that have been custom machined to operate modern control cables. You will never find a smoother shift on a Shepherd. The 200+ HP Chrysler Hemi's have modern Delco electronic ignition systems that we machined parts and adapters to accept this incredible upgrade. With this new ignition system the engines run better than they did when brand new. The boat has 15 coats of Epifanes varnish just applied, restored windlass winch for the anchor, a custom built mahogany swim platform which mirrors the intricate Bubinga and teak grating on the floor in the boat. Equipped with a built in Fusion sound system with Bluetooth capabilities housed in the cuddy cabin and mahogany speakers. This is the ultimate family boat with lots room, high sides, tons of storage space and a folding removable table. It's ready for fun! Winner of the 2016 Geneva Lakes Boat Show Captain's Choice Award. Comes with new, custom fit full waterline Weathermax cover and bimini top. $210,000
