Starting an Inboard Engine with a Motor Flusher

There are three types of Boat Engines. They are the Inboard, Outboard, and I/O engines. The I/O engine is a hybrid combining characteristics of both outboard and inboard engines. The outboard engine is an engine that is mounted externally or outside the hull of the boat.
Remember to keep your engine below 1500 rpm. You won’t have enough water for the engine if you go above that, so it’s also a good idea to keep the engine from revving.

If the procedure of starting an inboard engine out of water is not done in the right way, it might end up harming the engine. To properly start it, you need a tool called circular cup muff plunger with hose fitting. This is an essential tool, and without this you will end up messing up the whole process. They are usually started ahead of time for proper tastings, and to make sure that nothing is wrong with the boat. A properly connected water supply also ensures a proper procedure.
Firstly, the garden hose should be securely attached to the muff plunger. It is supposed to be turned on to ensure a proper and continuous flow of water, and then turned off. After this, locate the water intake hole under a stationary boat and insert the muff plunger into it in such a way that the plunger should completely cover the hole. The muff plunger is to be tightly secured and the leg should touch the ground. It can be adjusted according to the requirements. After this, turn on the water supply and it is likely to spill from the intake hole, however make sure it is still placed tightly.
Now the engine can be started, and while it runs you should loosely observe the muff plunger. It should not fall off. There is a need to keep an eye on the temperature range as it is not allowed to ride over 200 degree Fahrenheit. In case it does, turn the engine off immediately as it might get overheated and wear away. Lastly, turn the engine off and then remove the plunger.
