Disconnect the water supply line, remove the bolts securing the tank and lift it off the base. Remove the rubber gasket on the bottom of the tank, and slide a new gasket into place. Slide rubber washers over the ends of the bolts, and insert the bolts into the holes on the bottom of the tank. Slide a brass washer and hex nut over the ends of the bolts under the bottom of the tank, and place the tank on the base. Slide rubber washers, brass washers and wing nuts over the ends of the bolts beneath the base, and tighten the nuts. Reconnect the water supply and turn the shutoff valve counterclockwise. [links]

If the tank assembly on your toilet is loose, it will cause the tank to rock or leak. Tighten the bolts that secure the tank to the base of the toilet to fix the problem. If it still rocks or leaks, replace the rubber gasket between the tank and base.

Turn the shutoff valve on the supply line clockwise to shut off the water. Flush the toilet to empty the tank. Remove the tank lid and remove remaining water with a towel or sponge. Hold the bolt heads inside the tank in place with a screwdriver, and tighten each nut slightly by hand. Tighten the bolts evenly until the tank is tight.

I'm working to remove the fill valve from my (quite old) Kohler toilet. Drained the tank, unhooked the water supply, now trying to remove the locknut. Trouble is (and forgive me, I'm not sure if this is common) the locknut is plastic and two pieces that seem to lock together. So when I attempted to unscrew it, the lower half of the locknut came off (as it kind of unhinged from the top part), but the upper half of the plastic locknut which is up against the porcelain just won't budge. What's the trick to getting that last piece off? I've tried using a wrench but I'm afraid of damaging the plastic or the porcelain. Thanks! [links]

Sanjiv was down to only 11 months left before his temporary green card requirements come due in March of 2015, which gives this particular presentation a real sense of urgency to secure a deal inside the Shark Tank. here

I was unable to find out who is behind the Lord Nut Levington’s creative story-telling designs and artwork, but I imagine Sanjiv Patel had a big part making these nut’s anything but boring when it comes to this very creative packaging. I honestly believe every single business in existence could learn a thing or two about this marketing strategy that engages customer’s with a creative story behind the brand. here

It will also be very interesting if Patel brings up the fact he has a very specific deadline to grow this business, or potentially lose everything if he cannot meet the 10 employee minimum to keep operating in the United States. At first I could easily see a deadline imposed by the Immigration Office making the Sharks a little nervous to invest in. here

It looks like Royalty is coming to the Shark Tank when “Lord Nut Levington” makes his presence known to the world. As you can imagine by the name, Lord Levington is plain nut’s over his “Spicy Nut Brand”. With 6 spicy flavors to choose from, along with very creative name’s and designs from the old world, Lord Nut Levington is sure to have all the Sharks eating out of his hand.

But when you have a quality product already available in over 600 stores, and over 7 million Shark Tank Fans that love to support new businesses seen on the Show, the risk of investing in Lord Nut Levington is very minimal. [links]

However, you can drain the tank several other ways if you are unable to empty it by flushing. more

Otherwise, you can try to use locking pliers to remove the plastic nut. Locking pliers lock into place to allow you to grip the item in question with more force. Set your locking pliers to the narrowest position to fit around the nut and turn it with force.

You can remove your toilet tank’s locknut if you follow the proper steps. Locknuts hold the fill valve in place so that your toilet and tank fill with water properly. You will need a few key items to remove the plastic nut from your toilet tank, such as:

This method takes the longest, but you can bail the water out of your toilet tank with a cup or bowl. Shut off the water supply line and flush the toilet a few times to empty as much of it as possible. This method comes in handy when your toilet tank’s water level simply won’t go down. more
