It's not a pressure tank. There is a small pump in the carb.Two things may be happening<br />when you unplug the tank.If the carb is flooding<br />then it would smooth out some as the gas is used up or it is normal for the engine to speed up momentarily just as it runs out of gas.More than likely your carb needs a rebuild.
