Another exciting ongoing research project at SuperYacht Times is the rating of yacht brokers. In this report, we unveil the methodology behind our new yacht broker firm rating system, which is currently being developed and tested. The importance of an independent monitor for the performance of yacht brokerage companies in the business is paramount, and although the report does not yet reveal these results, it provides interesting perspectives on the subject which complement them.

Where will the yacht owners get the hydrogen?

How safe is it to store on a yacht?

Very safe, it is the only storing technology that can power vessels. The flame point is 200° Celsius, it is not flammable.

Yes, and the heat which we will get during the storage process will be used for heating the water. For bigger vessels we can use the heat also for producing coolant over an absorption chiller and for salt water desalination. here

The costs depend on the power production to enrich the LOHC with Hydrogen. We burn only hydrogen. This can vary from The technology is storing energy. Electrical energy from renewable sources is converted into hydrogen which is chemically bound in LOHC. The hydrogen rich LOHC+ can be stored at ambient conditions for unlimited time and also be transported like normal fuel. If energy is needed again, the hydrogen is released from the LOHC+ and converted by a fuel cell to electrical energy..3 to 0.9 per kWh in USD.

We don’t build vessels, our customers are doing it. The demand is huge, we have orders for over 200 vessels right now. We only deliver the energy technology to the shipyards or owners who are building the vessels. [links]

Genoa-based shipyard Tankoa Yachts has announced a new project at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show. The new 70-metre superyacht, Next 70, is a collaboration with Francesco Paszkowski. The S702 Next 70 will have three different superstructure profiles to choose from, and a series of design details such as stern fairleads, half-moon shapes and black chine reflects Tankoa’s design philosophy. “Building on the success of Suerte and Solo, this new 70-metre design incorporates the distinctive brand features of Tankoa and combines them with new solutions,” says Francesco Paszkowski. “The aim has been to develop a yacht with innovative stylistic and technical features that will confirm Tankoa’s status at the forefront of the superyacht sector.” One of this yacht’s most notable features is its interior layout, with a forward area arranged on two connected levels between the main and upper decks. Spread over these two decks is the yacht’s master suite, with a total area of about 150 square metres and boasting side terraces and a private gym. It is directly connected to the foredeck and helipad via the upper deck and an internal private staircase. The upper deck is also home to two VIP suites aft of the central lobby. Two additional VIP suites are situated on the main deck aft, and the lower deck is home to two en-suite staterooms. The Next 70 boasts several lounges: one on the upper deck along with a dining area or meeting room and one on the bridge deck that opens onto a convivial area on the aft deck. All the external areas of the yacht are designed as terraces overlooking the sea, with ample use of frameless glass. The upper deck boasts a large al-fresco zone with a pool, and a dining and relaxation area with softly rounded sofas and seating. A second, larger swimming pool is situated on the main aft deck, above the transom beach club of the lower deck, which also features a spa area that includes a sauna and hammam. Finally, the sun deck features a large area with sun beds and a shower integrated into the mast structure.
