That's the only reason it's in the garage. I didn't want to take the risk. Unfortunately, the way the brace is snapped doesn't make it possible to bridge the two connections with a piece of acrylic or glass. I tried that a few months back. The frame needs to be pulled and replaced. I'm learning the bow front frame is hard to find. I'm also learning by research that replacement of a frame could be a laboring task. 😎 here
Thanks. Yeah I'm just looking for the part which I estimate to be under $20.00. It's finding the part. I swear I seen it on glasscages.com but when I looked recently I couldn't find it. Gonna keep searching.
I have another 40 gallon tank built with no center brace but apparently much thicker glass. No problems. more
I've also seen long aquariums with a thick glass center brace. If the glass center brace were attached with aquarium sealant, repair should be fairly easy. Suggestions will be appreciated. [links]

I like the bow fronts. There's a little more width to them than in flat front tanks.. giving you a some more decoration space. You can add visual depth.
I like the glass top and the lighting too. A glass top will give you a lot more options in lighting.. very important if you like a planted tank and want to upgrade.
