With standard diesel power, the Albin 26 Center Console?s high-speed hull planes quickly and delivers high cruising speeds with surprising economy. With today's diesel engines, one gets the gas advantages of responsive, low end torque and quietness which is combined with the diesel's extremely good fuel economy, reliability and low maintenance costs. Unique 26 CC include a full 360 degress of fish-ability. Unlike center console boats powered by outboards or stern drives, the inboard design of the 26 CC gives fisherman use of the stern again. No longer will they have to avoid engines, drives or props when they?ve hooked the big one. Additionally, the obstruction-free transom and optional Tuna door make landing a big catch that much more convenient. The boat also has a pocket drive that lets her troll the shallows with 26" draft. Another advantage of the 26 CC?s inboard drive system is weight distribution. By having the powertrain mounted closer to the boats longitudinal center, and lower in the hull (compared to outboard engines), the 26 CC exhibits excellent sea keeping, handling and stiffness. The cockpit is laid out with Albin's attention to space and ergonomics.
