I recently saw a Tidewater 230 in my area (Vancouver BC) and loved it. We don’t get many center console boats around here so aightings are rare. I have been researching the boat online because the closest dealer is in Texas! Over 2000 miles away! Anyway, I emailed a couple of dealers for quotes and one of them is no longer a dealer and sent me links to all the bad reviews about cracking gel coat, powder coat issues, leaks, yellowing etc. This has put my wife off and has me on the edge of getting a Sea Hunt or Key West instead. I know that most happy owners don’t post but please let me know if this is common or not. Givem that I wont have access to a dealer I will be on my own if things go wrong. [links]

Also, It would seem I may have to travel to check these brands out. Any recommendations on dealers with the best pricing or which boat show or city to visit that has all three brands would be helpful.
