I wanted to ask before spot testing. Has anyone successfully substituted white gas for lighter fluid as a cleaner? It is supposedly pure naptha, but from what I'm reading naptha can be a wide range of weights and chemical compositions. more
I have a whole gallon of the stuff, meanwhile lighter fluid would take a special trip to the store this week. more

For example, kerosene is often used as lamp fuel (and even as jet fuel!). For this reason, kerosene can not only be found at major retailers like Walmart or Target, but also at hardware stores such as Lowe’s or Home Depot, and of course, sporting goods and outdoor recreation stores.
