Once you’ve found it, you can contact your DMV or input it into an online database such as faxvin.com. These places will provide you with the vehicle’s history report.
The vehicle identification number of a boat trailer is often located on two sticker-type plates: one is on the side trailer frame behind the tongue while the other is on the right taillight just outside of the side frame. The VIN can also be located in the rear bumper. more
New boat trailers should have a visible VIN from the original manufacturer.
