The Black Pearl has remained with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise since the start, here are some facts fans might not have known about it.
The Black Pearl has appeared in every Pirates of the Caribbean film, whether in its current state or as the Wicked Wench. In addition, it appears in every video game based on the franchise. To the early Game Boy Advance game based on the first movie to 2017's mobile game Tides of War. here
The third time was when Barbossa stole it again and fought Blackbeard. The fourth time was when Jack had gained it back in a bottle. Barbossa freed the ship from its tiny state, and he once again stole it from Jack. The Black Pearl was truly a magnificent ship to have pirates going back and forth with it.
The Sunset was moved to Lafitte, Louisiana in March of 2014. It could have been that she was returning to Bayou La Batre, where the Black Pearl was originally built, to be readied for the fifth film. That plan was most likely abandoned when Disney decided to shift production from Puerto Rico to Australia in order to take advantage of millions in tax breaks and other incentives.
In December of 2014, the Sunset was pulled from the water and transported to Hardrock Marine Services, Rt 303/Jean Lafitte Blvd., Lafitte. By May of 2015 the superstructure of the Queen Anne's Revenge was destructively removed from the hull of the Sunset, removing all traces of her movie history. As of April 26th, 2019, the remnants of the Revenge can still be seen on Googlemaps, with the forecastle resting several yards away from the main deck. The disposition of the steel hull is unknown.

As of October 17, 2016, the bow that had been used to portray the Black Pearl, and was later modified for the Queen Anne's Revenge, has been found in Rosethorn Park, in Lafitte, Louisiana. [12]
While creating the ship's design, producer Jerry Bruckheimer said that since the most famous pirate flag was the skull and crossbones, they should work on some skulls and skeletons into the design of the ship. With that in mind, John Myhre remembered Kostnice, the famous "Church of Bones" in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic; it was a church that was literally decorated with bones. In the case of Blackbeard's ship, Myhre thought instead of doing all these intricately carved molding details, what if they used the bones of Blackbeard's victims in the design of the Queen Anne's Revenge. So with the idea that Blackbeard actually burned his victims, moldings were made of leg and arm bones, and teeth; and walls made out of skulls. [3] [7] [links]
For the making of the second and third Pirates films, Dead Man's Chest and At World's End, the Sunset was redesigned and built by production designer Rick Heinrichs and his production team, in which it portrayed the Black Pearl. In 2010, because the Black Pearl didn't fit into the story of On Stranger Tides, the Sunset was once again redesigned, this time by production designer John Myhre, to portray the Queen Anne's Revenge.
The Black Pearl was a three-masted ship, with the appearance of an hybrid between a galleon and an East Indiaman. As the Wicked Wench, she had a golden yellow hull and flew sails of pure white which carried the colors of the East India Trading Company. As a pirate vessel, the Black Pearl’s most obvious and infamous features were her tattered black sails and soot colored hull.
The Black Pearl is a legendary ship that appears in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean film series. Easily recognized by her distinctive jet black hull and sails, the Pearl is first introduced in the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and has appeared in the following sequels, Dead Man's Chest, At World's End, On Stranger Tides, and Dead Men Tell No Tales. Among other appearances, the Pearl appears in The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios, as well as several books and video games.
Another advantage the Black Pearl has is her ability to hide in the sea at night. It was first seen in The Curse of the Black Pearl where she is able to sneak into Port Royal under the cover of darkness, unhindered; and later in Dead Man's Chest where all the ship's lamps are blown out, in which the ship is no longer visible on the sea thanks to her black hull and sails.
Sea of Thieves fans sailed to another new season. The game’s third season came bundled with the Pirates of the Caribbean crossover event, meaning the legendary Black Pearl Ship is available in the game.
If you’ve been looking for the Black Pearl Ship around the shop or inside the game with no luck, that may be because the ship actually has a different name. Potentially due to copyright reasons, the ship has an alternative name in Sea of Thieves. The looks are still identical, however, and you may want to queue the Pirates of the Caribbean’s theme music before you add the ship to your collection.
Once you log in to Sea of Thieves, head over to the shop and look for the Eternal Freedom set, the set will let you transform your ship to the Black Pearl. It’s a part of the collectors’ set, though, meaning you’ll need to unlock all the items in the Pirate Emporium.
