The 2009 West Wight Potter provides a safe and comfortable sailing experience with many features reserved for larger more expensive yachts while still providing the ease and portability of a boat that can be trailered.
The interior cushions, headliner and equipment below decks were all in good condition.
The West Wight Potter has many design features that make it a safe, comfortable, fun and unique sailing vessel. The vertical retractable keel allows the Potter to be the only fully beachable cruiser her size. The keel is retracted via a winch located in the cockpit allowing the skipper to adjust it without leaving the helm. The Potter also is constructed with closed cell foam flotation, fore and aft, making her virtually unsinkable. The cockpit bench seating with Sunbrella covered cushions combined with the self-bailing cockpit and hard chine provide comfort and stability. The main can be rigged for two reef points and the Potter 19 comes with a "Lapper" sail providing responsive handling in high winds. The P19 has the Single Handers package which features the main halyard and roller furling lines leading to the cockpit. The Lowrance depth finder and chart plotter comes with coastal and inland lake packages and custom installed to a versatile RAM mount viewable from the cockpit. more
