If it is the closed type you could probably drill a small hole in it
If no need to save, there are a few options. I pulled a sub 1/4" OD ball bearing out of a model airplane engine by making a puller. I turned a shaft just shy of the inside diameter, leaving a little sharp shoulder out at the absolute end (to get behind the radius where it bottomed). Then drilled a hole from the shoulder end and reamed it with a taper pin reamer. Three slots like a collet, just with a hacksaw. Turned a pin to go inside the hole and turned a short taper on the end of that so it made essentially an expanding arbor. Put the tool in the hole, rapped it with a plastic hammer to seat the taper and expand the arbor and pulled out the bearing.more

As far as the heat on the rear goes where am I going to want to put it?
Mike,
Well I have tried with a puller and banging with a hammer. No luck. I see that there is a key on the axle.. Does the key come out or can I tap it in as I am pulling with the puller?? I would venture to say that this has not been of in oh about 74 years. There is oil all over the big castle nut and the shaft itself. Any thoughts?? more
