A half inch line. WOW!! 5/16 is way more than sufficient. I run 1/4 in on twin 85/s and it works fine.
These motors don't need that much flow.J [links]
My 115 Yamaha i rigged with a half inch line [links]
What size fuel line? It has 5/16 which I would think is insuffcient. more
I would have 3/8" all the way to the motor and what ever is on the motor probably 5/16" all the way to the carbs. [links]
Hi, new to the forum. Will have plenty of questions to come that I hope people here can help me with. I know exactly jackshit about outboards and boats in general. Lets start with.
Bought a center console about 4-5 years ago with a 2001 Yamaha 150 Vmax OX66 VX150TLRZ. Two things.
1. Please dont beat me up, but I ran it once and then put it away without doing ANYTHING to it. No storage procedure at all. I live in zone 8b(SE Louisiana) so the winters dont get too cold and we only get a hard freeze maybe 1 or 2 nights a year in the middle of the night for a few hours. I havent got a battery just yet so I havent tried to turn it over. I work on all my cars so Im handy with a wench. What should be my first step to bring this thing back to life? Last time I tried to start it was about 4 years ago and it turned over but wouldnt start which brings me to my next question.
While I'd love to buy more stuff from Yam, their prices are simply idiotic on many items. My engines require over 700 dollars worth of fuel lines for the lines currently available. Two of them are currently listed as unavailable, so their price is anyone's guess. So, in order to replace both of my engines fuel lines I'm going to shell out almost 1500 bucks?? If anyone can explain that to me, I am all ears.
order the parts from this web site, click on the Yamaha parts at top of page and look them up or
Take a small section of the hose with you to Oreilly or Advance. On the suction side, you don't need to go nuts but you should buy Coast Guard approved (thicker walls) hose. On the pressure side, you definitely need a high-pressure fuel line suitable for fuel injection if your engine is so equipped. What's funny to me is the stuff on the feed side from Yam is thin. Good hose no doubt, but thin. here
I want to replace fuel line on both sides of engine mounted fuel filter 1997 S150. line to fuel pumps and to primer bulb. I think its the same size, but don't know what size it is. Would like to have oem line. more
If you get stopped by the CG they can inspect your hose and ruin your day if it's crap.
Ethanol fuel makes a lot of money for farmers and Big Ag. For the rest of us, it's just pure crap. here
