I need to get locks for my boat trailer but Ive never bought any so I dont know if theres a specific size for lug nuts on a trailer.
There are common lug nut sizes found on trailers: 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, and 5/8 but the most common is 1/2 inch. If you can tell me the trailer weight capacity and wheel size/bolt pattern I can verify if they are likely to be 1/2 inch or another size. here

So. do I buy a special lug nut wrench for just the trailer? I plan on attaching the spare to the tongue just using a crescent wrench but that is probably not a good idea if I had to change a flat tire, right??
