This 1990 Avanti is a four-door Touring Sedan that was delivered new to Excalibur Motor Car Company of Palm Springs, California and has made its way to Florida following time spent in Arizona. It is believed to be one of only 90 built! Our four-door Avanti was built in Youngstown, Ohio utilizing fiberglass bodywork mounted on a Chevrolet Caprice chassis. The car is finished in white over red leather, and power is from a fuel-injected 305ci GM V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The Avanti was produced was launched in 1962 and produced by Studebaker for only two years before the company closed and production ceased. The name and tooling were purchased by two dealers and the model was re-launched as the Avanti II in 1965 with Chevrolet small-block power.
