The Gutting process is a dirty job. Make sure you are wearing the respirator as you are releasing mold and fiberglass dust into the air! more
If you look in your ski locker and see little bits of wood. you know you are in for some fun.. The deck is so rotted it is just falling to pieces
I let it soak in for about an hour so it would soak into the wood. you dont want the wood to suck the resin out of the glass.. After the wood soaked up the resin another layer of resin was rolled on followed by CSM that was pre-cut using the cardboard transom pattern.
It is better to remove the engine before gutting as it will only be in your way. As you see here i learned that the hard way.. but it comes out eventually anyways. more
From a performance standpoint, there aren’t many options as attractive as an engine with horizontally-opposed cylinders. The boxer four isn’t nearly as common as the other engines on this list, but from an engineering standpoint it’s a logical choice for your race car. more

An engineer’s object of affection, the straight-six is the result of tacking on two more cylinders to an inline four engine. BMW loves them, and it’s the layout of one of the most well-known boost-ready engines, the 2JZ. So what’s so special about the straight-six? here
The most common engine types - the four-cylinder, the boxer-four, straight-six, V6 and V8 - have their own pros and cons. Here's everything you need to know in one handy guide.
The Osprey can hold up to 24 troops and carry up to 20,000 lb (9,072 kg) in its cargo bay, which is 5.7 ft wide by 5.5 ft high by 20.8 ft long (1.72 x 1.68 x 6.35 m). The cargo bay has fold-down seats along the walls and a ramp that is used to load or deploy cargo and troops. Deployment can also take place in the air by parachute. In addition to the 20,000-lb load in the cargo bay, the Osprey has an external hook-and-winch system that allows it to carry up to 15,000 lbs (6,803 kg) of cargo in tow. [links]
In the next section, we'll take a look at the Osprey's systems. more
The Osprey is equipped with multi-band radios (AM, FM, UHF, VHF) for voice transmission and radio reception. It also has navigational beacons and radios, radar altimeters and an internal intercom/radio system for communications among the crew and troops onboard. [links]
The advantage of the Osprey over an airplane is that it can take off, hover and land like a helicopter. This makes is more versatile than an airplane for such missions as moving troops to remote areas, especially those without landing strips, or conducting long-range rescue operations at sea. more
The Osprey has two, large, three-bladed rotors that rotate in opposite directions and produce lift. Because the rotors turn in opposite directions, there is no need for a tail rotor to provide stability as in a helicopter. The wing tilts the rotors between airplane and helicopter modes and generates lift in the airplane mode. The Osprey can convert smoothly from helicopter mode to airplane mode in as few as 12 seconds. more
The cockpit of the Osprey holds a pilot and co-pilot. In addition, there is a fold-down seat in the center behind the pilots for a flight engineer. The instrument panels have multi-functional displays, similar to the new glass cockpit of the space shuttle. The displays hold information about the engines (such as oil pressure, temperatures and hydraulic pressures) and flight (such as fuel data, attitude and engine performance). There are also keypads used to interact with the flight computer and sticks used to control the flight maneuvers. [links]
Hello all I am a new member here with a question about a Yamaha 50TLR manufacture date 6/2008.
I have had intermittent issues with trimming this motor down. Up works fine with no issues.
As I was testing earlier with a meter between blue and green the motor suddenly started working again and is now working fine. I really need to get some ideas on what could be causing this issue.
In this short post I’ll show you the the right way to tilt your lawn mower over and why it’s so important to get it right.
Before working on a lawn mower, it’s always a great idea to pull the spark plug wire, this prevents any possibility of the engine staring.
After you’ve checked and fixed your air filter, check your oil level and top up if needed, remove oil if too full. Now go ahead and crank over your engine without using choke. If it starts it may blow white or black smoke, don’t worry, looks exciting but it’s normal. If on the other hand, your engine won’t start. Leave it sit for an hour before trying again, or if you just can’t wait. Remove the spark plug and clean it.
