Finally, the more I watch this show, I think Zack (as cute as he was) really wasn’t a good hearted person for the most part. He would wrap up that way at the end of each episode but he had sociopathic tendencies. But, again, very cute, which makes it okay.

A pipe dream is an unrealistic and unattainable goal, an impossible hope. The pipe alluded to in this term is a smoking pipe, but the substance being smoked is not tobacco. Pipe dream stems from the practice of smoking opium, and though many English writers turned to opiates for inspiration, the term pipe dream originated in the United States. In the mid-1800s to the late 1800s, the western United States was rife with opium dens, places where opium from China was sold and smoked. A large influx of opium came from China with the California Gold Rush of 1850. The experience of smoking opium caused the user to hallucinate. At the time, these hallucinations were called opium dreams, opium pipe dreams, or pipe dreams. In the 1870s, the term pipe dream came into use to describe the hallucinations a person experienced while under the influence of opium. By the 1890s, the term pipe dream was used figuratively, to describe a hope or ambition that was impossible to attain. Originally, pipe dream was rendered with a hyphen, as in pipe-dream. Today, the Oxford English Dictionary lists pipe dream as two separate words. The plural form of pipe dream is pipe dreams. Opium dens were banned in San Francisco in 1875. New York’s last known opium den was closed in a raid in 1957. here

It's strange then that 'pipe dream' comes from none of these sources but has an American origin. The early references to the phrase all originate from in or around Chicago. The earliest I have found is from The Chicago Daily Tribune, December 1890:
Look at the sea, and tell me if, in your wildest pipe-dream, you ever saw anything lovelier.
"But then I was spinnin' pipe dreams myself, tellin' about how much I lose on the board and all that."here
The GND’s authors have been advised by a very small group of economists that no inflation will occur by printing currency unless the economy is at full capacity. This idea lacks any economic coherence, and there are literally hundreds of empirical examples that show how substantial inflation can easily occur when economies are not at full capacity. [links]
More broadly, the command-and-control implementation of the GND, in which over 50 percent of the economy would pass through the hands of government, would be the largest peacetime shift to a socialistic economy — and the largest drop in individual freedom — that any of us have seen in our lifetimes.
Many of the GND’s environmental goals are infeasible. This includes “net zero greenhouse gas emissions in 10 years” and “meet 100 percent of power demand with renewables.”
The GND’s authors have provided no explicit plan to achieve these goals, other than to claim that they are achievable because of the enormous expansion of government that occurred during World War II.
Other aspects of the GND, such as its pro-union provisions, have nothing to do with the “green” component of the GND, but they hearken back to the New Deal of the 1930s, when many manufacturing industries agreed to substantially raise wages provided that they were permitted to collude. more
Other environmental goals of the GND show that the authors do not understand basic cost-benefit analysis, which should be the foundation of every government program.
