The first thing you need to do is determine the exact year and model of your outboard. This is simple to do because Evinrude affix a label to the transom bracket of all their outboards that indicates the unit's year of manufacture, model number and serial number. Once you have that information it's time to find the replacement Evinrude outboard parts you require. This page contains a list of all the 1992 Evinrude outboard models they produced that year. If your outboard was manufactured in a different year use your browser to go back to the main Evinrude page and select the correct year. Assuming your motor is from 1992, let's move on.

From the list on this page you should select your outboard's model number to be taken to the Evinrude outboard parts page for that exact unit, and from there you will find every OEM Evinrude part for that particular outboard. It's as easy as 1, 2, 3 so what are you waiting for? Go find the Evinrude Johnson parts you need! [links]

I checked and the VRO wires were still connected. I disconnected them. I hope that was the problem. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is why did the alarm only sound when I was in idle. If I increased the throttle, the alarm went off. [links]

I already got great info from the FAQ on winterizing, still have a question. I know I need to stabilize the fuel and change the lower unit oil. As far as fogging the motor goes, I have 3 questions:

- this motor is new to me so I'm a bit nervous about using muffs on it. can someone confirm exactly where the water intake is on this motor and where to put the muffs? more

- I'm not able to get the motor back in the lake before putting it away. Is it just as good to spray the fogging oil into the spark plug holes instead of running the motor and spraying it into the intakes?
