After checking with a meter I found that the blue wire at the remote tank is not staying as ground when it should be. more

Anyone know if there is anything else on the engine that would tell the pump to shut off that I could try to disconnect? I don't see anything in the wiring diagram. I am trying to follow the ground (blue) wire coming off the pump itself. It comes out of the pump and goes to a connector where one end goes to the emergency switch and the other end goes to the cdi. Once it is in the cdi I'm not sure where it goes to ground. here
If anyone can help me out that would be great. Pump will run fine if disconnected and hooked up to separate power, will only run for about 30 seconds hooked up normally, and will run fine if using the emergency oil switch.

When additional oil is added to the boats remote tank, the float rises above SW B, which allows the controller to turn off the yellow warning LCD. If the outboard is running, the electric pump begins to transfer oil to the engine until the main tanks full switch (SW 1) shuts it off.
Depending on your outboards model year, various methods are used to prevent oil from transferring when the outboard is tilted up. On models with a separate oil-control module, an internal mercury switch will not allow the electric pump to energize if the outboard is tilted above 30 degrees. The trim sender senses the tilt angle to prevent the oil transfer on V-6s from 1990 through 1995. Starting in 1996, new electronics in the controller unit keep the pump from operating if the engine is not running. Do not forget to check these items when troubleshooting a \"no oil transfer\" situation. [links]

Had some time to look a little and found the float slides up and down as think it should. Twisted it and cleaned a little to be sure nothing was hung. Took it out and now posting results.
On my Ox66 there are two tanks, the main (under cowel) and remote (the big one that should pump oil to the 'main' tank). Inside the main tank there should be a float/sender. Is this working? Jammed? That or it is a wiring issue, would be my best guesses.
