Is there a way to bleed these things?
4. Cycle the tilt & trim up & down 4 or 5 times
5. With the tilt fully up re-check and top up as required. [links]
1. Tighten the manual valve fully clockwise.
2. Power the power tilt & trim fully up.
3. Remove reservoir filler cap & check level. Add fluid until it overflows. Replace cap.
My trim/tilt sounds like it is passing air, goes up some and comes back down slowly after letting off the switch.

There is no reason to remove or disable the oil injection system. Fix the alarm. If you know which end of a screwdriver to hold you should be able to remove and replace the tank. more
Secondary question - how easy is it (for an amateur) to replace the oil tank - which Dr Google says is how you replace the oil sensor?
Was about 20 mins out on the river when the engine alarm started a continuous tone - no bipping, just straight to full scream.
Sounds like a good time to pull that junk and run premix.
